As a guest you are offered a horseback ride through trails on the property and we had a blast. The area off the property offers a lot if you like to be outside.

My husband and I were in the area on a baby-moon. Lynn was gracious enough to have us come see and learn about the horses. She is incredibly knowledgable and we were so impressed with the tranquillity of the grounds. We wish we knew about this before but we will definitely come to stay soon when we need a tranquil beautiful family vacation!!

Our dogs loved the walking trails thru the woods and Finley especially loved her swim in the pond. The fenced in area off the backdoor was very convenient for the dogs late night potty breaks. The cabin is perfectly equipped and spotlessly clean.

My husband and I were looking for a weekend gate away and made a great decision to stay at the Hideaway Cabin. Upon arriving we were given a tour of the 80 acre property in our own vehicle via radio. The cabin is located at the back of the property. We arrived at night and the cabin was lit up with sting lights and the crickets were chirping. It was pretty neat. The cabin has one bedroom, but offers plenty of space to lounge around and relax. The front porch is a great area to hang out. We brought our dogs with us and there was a fenced in area at the back you could access from the back door of the cabin. The pups enjoyed playing in the pond while we relaxed and should have been fishing.

If you are looking to get away from it all, but still be within 20 minutes of civilization, look no further. We look forward to returning. I bet the fall is beautiful in those woods.

The hosts have everything well organized which made for a very enjoyable stay, we be going back.

We were looking for a quiet place, pet friendly, away from the July crowds of Lake Lure to relax and rejuvenate. This cabin fit the bill perfectly! This property is beautiful and the cabin in the woods is about as secluded as you can get. We spent many hours sitting on the porch, listening to the birds and watching the occasional deer or turkey wander by. And enjoyed the afternoon rain storms that rolled through while we stayed dry in the comfy porch chairs.
